Samantha Wampler – Owner/Designer
Della Designs was founded in 2016 to serve the Highland Lakes area by Samantha Wampler, a graduate of Texas A&M University.
Samantha majored in Horticulture, specifically Landscape Design, where she gained practical knowledge she applies to every customized project. After college, she gained years of experience working as a grower for a nursery, then a landscape designer for a company in the Houston area before relocating to Marble Falls.
Samantha and her husband welcomed their second beautiful daughter in 2021, only improving her ability to multitask. When thinking of the perfect name for the company, she looked no further than the family’s furry companions, Denton and Ella, for inspiration. Thus, Della Designs was born.
Annaliese Mahder – Communications
Annaliese is Office Manager at Della Designs, handling all things administrative. She is the reason our designers can “work their magic” (as she calls it) to use their creativity to design one-of-a-kind concepts for our unique clients.
When not behind the computer, Annaliese can be found spending time with her husband or chasing the two sweetest, most active children (often accompanied by her nearly 100lb “lap dog”). Della Designs is blessed to have her as such an integral part of the team!
Karoline Westerman – Designer
Karoline has been with Della Designs since early 2022. Currently pursuing her degree, Karoline is studying Graphic Design and Music. Among many other things, she aids our designers by drafting client surveys into our design software, overlaying drone footage of properties to place all existing structures and trees, and she counts and measures each design when it’s time to complete our process. In her free time, Karoline enjoys spending time mastering her hobbies: baking and photography.
Melissa Virnau – Plant Guru
Growing up in south Texas, Melissa gardened with ornamentals, fruit trees, and edibles from an early age. She followed her lifelong love of plants to Texas A&M, finishing her BA in Horticulture in May 2020. Melissa specializes in plant identification and selection, assuring the sustainability of the plants featured in our custom Della Designs.
Melissa and her husband are recent “empty-nesters”, and enjoy spending time on vacation or with with their six wonderful grandchildren.
Kate joined Della Designs as Project Manager in 2023. She is a graduate of Texas A&M with an Environmental Geoscience degree. Kate had an eight year career in the environmental consulting industry working with a variety of clients. She has both remediation field experience and later found her way into the EHS database management space implementing enterprise-level software.
Kate loves all things outdoors, which is what brought this Houston-native and her family to this beautiful area. In her spare time, she loves to tend to her garden. Kate utilizes her project-driven and organizational experience at Della which brings beautiful designs to life, while keeping time and budget in mind.
